Come: explore magical costumes, learn how to make a giant puppet move, develop new skills like felting, carving, sculpture, drawing, painting, music and storytelling. Each week is a little different from the last. Over the summer we collectively work on the creation of a giant puppet which will be used for years to come in festivals and parades around Nova Scotia.

Led by Monika Wildemann, Visual artist, children’s performer, puppeteer, and Waldorf teacher in training.

Classes are outside weather permitting.

"Exploration of Wet and Wonderful Art"
August 1 - 5, 9:30 2:30, lead by Marianna Schwabb

Marianna Schwab has been a Waldorf kindergarten teacher for over 25 years and works at the Sunrise Waldorf school on Vancouver Island as a handwork teacher for all grades.

Through imitation, rhythm, songs, German finger games, puppet shows and stories, Marianna takes children into the land of imagination and wonder. She encourages sensory experience with natural materials and playtime in the outdoors. This year the wet and wonderful world of wet felting and wet on wet watercolor painting will be discovered.

Extra charge for materials: $10
